"Pirate" was shown
extensively as a youngster by Colin Tibbey and the Heppenstalls an
behalf of his then owners the "Currie" family
In 1998, following the
sudden death of his full brother Penwisg Piper, we leased Pirate
from the Curries. After seeing his first crop of foals for us in
1999, we purchased him.
In 1999 his palomino
daughter "Bethel Jill" was Section A Champion Foal at the Royal
Welsh. In addition, Eugrad Dlws and Eugrad Sheba were the highest
priced Section A filly foals at Fayre Oaks that year.
Again in 2000, two
fillies by him, namely Gelliniog Ariannedd and Briolen Della were
2nd & 3rd highest priced Section A foals at Fayre Oaks. Also at the
same sale, Briolen Jake, a black Section A colt foal by Pirate, was
sold to Per Aschan of Sweden.
As he is a dilute black,
Pirate produces a variety of colours, including palominos, duns,
cremellos and blacks. |
